The Good News from East End Cooperative Ministry

On Saturday, July 12th, East End Cooperative Ministry’s Youth Business Initiative (YBI) hosted its third annual Kidz E-Fest.  This community festival is the culmination of an eight-month internship for high school students, and features local dance and music groups, food, and free fun for youth ages twelve and under.  Throughout the year, students from the YBI gain valuable business education by organizing all aspects of the festival, from raising funds, to planning entertainment, to arranging for advertising.  Kidz E-Fest attracts more than 1,000 children and families each year.  For more information about the YBI and Kidz E-Fest, visit www.eecm.org.
