Financial Information & Tools

The careful and responsible use of the funds that are given to the church is important to stewardship. Raising money through the financial stewardship program is the first step to enabling a church to respond to God's grace. Making sure these funds are used properly and efficiently is the second step. The financial review required by the "Book of Order" is the way in which the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) encourages responsible use of funds. The Financial Review Checklist is a tool that can be used by churches that are unable to or don't want to hire professional auditors to carry out this function. The checklist can also be used as a tool to prepare for a formal audit.
