Congratulations to the 2018 Coleman-Patrick Scholarship Recipients!

The Robert Coleman-Dr. Leroy Patrick Scholarship is annually awarded to racial-ethnic undergraduate students who are recommended by their church pastor or the director of a validated mission agency of Pittsburgh Presbytery.

In 2018, the awards were funded by the congregations of Pittsburgh Presbytery through the Christmas Joy Offering and the Pittsburgh’s Got Talent programs of the National Black Presbyterian Caucus, Pittsburgh Chapter (NBPC). The students were awarded a sum totaling more than $6,500. The four recipients are: Derek Ricketts, attending Robert Morris University; Diamond Ricketts, attending Chatham University; Raven Self, attending Shaw University; and Jazmine Brown, attending Community College of Allegheny County.

Members of the Pittsburgh NBPC express thanksgiving to all who contributed to the scholarship in support of this ministry as they continue to encourage the importance of post-secondary education among the youth in our communities. Please pray for our students as they work toward scholastic achievement this year!
